Kimblerly Williamson Butler
April 12th, 2006According to her Mayoral campaign web site, Clerk of Criminal Court Kimberly Williamson Butler is an adoptive daughter of New Orleans.
Perhaps this is why in the header of her campaign web site, the street sceen in the background is not from the French Quarter, but a stock photograph of Disneyland.
Which begs the imagination thus…
Announcer: “Kimberly Williamson Butler, you’ve just spent three days in Orleans Parish Prison for contempt of court, what are you going to do now?”
Butler: “I’m going to Disneyland!”
Actually, the day she surrendered herself to the authorities is the day she qualified for the Mayoral campaign.

I believe that the person that originally spotted all of this was Michael Dillon. He pointed it out to me, and I sent it to my friend Eric (below) who then passed it on to Justinspace, who made it famous… By the way, it was covered in Saturday’s Times Picayune.

The title of that particular song was Dizz Knee Land, in order to placate the Mouse that roars.
