Mr Gutierrez Goes to Washington
June 22nd, 2006Next week on Tuesday, I’m going to addend a meeting of the Federal Election Assistance Commission as a reperesentative of Think New Orleans, to discuss voter information systems. Most of my time this week has been spent in preparation for this meeting, so I’ve not been as active in my civic work for New Orleans.

Hey Alan. How did your meeting in DC go? What topics did the Commission actually discuss? Kind of ironic that the other Chocolate City was being inundated by torrential rains on (or maybe only immediately preceding?) your visit… Baltimore has merely been wet and soggy, not flooded really, during my Mid-Atlantic visit. It’s funny how visiting NOLA always makes me hanker to return there, but a trip to Balto-DC just makes me want to go back to the safe convenience of Twin Cities life. So… are you missing NOLA yet?
I miss it every second I’m away. I’m in the meeting now. More later.
